To Whom It May Concern

We have, also this year, received a note stating that JavaScript is hard and almost impossible to grasp for not just one, but several of you. We know that. We were told with the previous curriculum, and we have heard again with the current curriculum. In appreciation of the problem we have adapted the first semester syllabus so that the first three week period is repetition of JavaScript skills that are at the level achieved by completing the programs admitting you to this program.

The first step in solving such a problem is acknowledging that it exists. This can be done by a selection of ways. Ask questions. Don't be shy, you are definitely not the only one with the problem. Work harder. Practice more. Those two elements are part of conquering new skills and new knowledge. Programming competence comes by practice, much practice. We have told you, and we repeat it because it is true.

Every 3 week period you are scheduled with 60 lessons in the classroom. In addition to that you must expect to work around 70-80 hours working on your studies. In our lessons we do a fair amount of assignment and exercise work in the classroom. During that and during lectures the teacher is available for questions and supervision.

Becoming a web developer means that you must come to terms with programming. It is not enough to do it between lunch and 1:50 in the afternoon on class days. It takes more. Much more.
